THIS Is Why You Should Wrap Your Joints In Cabbage!
Cabbage is the superhero of vegetables.
Not only is it low in saturated fat and cholesterol, it’s also a great source of fiber, packed with Vitamin C and K, and has similar effects as taking a multi-vitamin. But cabbage isn’t only beneficial to eat – it also helps you heal!
Because cabbage is bursting with antioxidants, it eliminates free radicals from around the body, which helps prevents against cancer and heart disease. In fact, studies show a significant reduction in breast cancer once cabbage is added to your diet.
Cabbage has incredible anti-inflammatory properties and has been used to treat swollen and bruised skin for hundreds of years. This is because it contains cadmium-binding complexes in its leaves, which are one of the main components of glutamine. A powerful anti-inflammatory agent, glutamine reduces fever, irritation, allergies, joint paint, and a variety of skin disorders.
To take full advantage of the healing powers of cabbage, wrap it around your injury, using it as a compress.
What will you need?
1. Cabbage (organic. Red is preferred, due to its containment of anthocyanins, which are known for reduce joint pain and inflammation.)
2. Gauze or bandage
3. Aluminum foil
5. Rolling pin/wine bottle/meat hammer
All you need to do is peel away the outer leaf, dry and cut out the hard stem, then use a rolling pin to release the juice within. Wrap cabbage in foil, warm it up in the oven, then place directly over injured area. Cover with gauze and elevate. Keep on for up to an hour and repeat this 2-3 times a day, changing the leaf every day. You’ll start feeling better within a day!
