Keeping a clean home is vital to
not only your physical health but your emotional and mental one as well. You would not imagine the benefits that can come from keeping a clean space –
Enlighten Me lists several, including stress relief and avoidance of pest infestations.
But while cleaning is a near-given to reduce stress and creating a positive environment, how can you increase the energetic vibration of your home, ridding yourself of negative vibes in the process?
Why would you want to spend your time doing such a thing anyway? Wouldn't you be much better off focusing on relaxing?
Well, by raising the amount of positive vibrations in your home, relaxation will come naturally. You'll find that arguments happen less, and you'll genuinely feel a lot lighter.
On that note, here are a few ways you can achieve these things by raising the vibration in your home.
1. Burn Sage
Sage is a plant native to the Mediterranean region that has benefits for culinary purposes, as we've
mentioned in the past. But did you know you can also burn sticks made of sage to invite positivity into your home? Start burning it and wave it around as you walk through your house. Let the smell relax you and think positive thoughts.
2. Get Rid Of Some Stuff
It is a good idea to take a walk through your house every now and again, looking at things and figuring out if you really need them.
Chances are, if you are like me, you spend much time on eBay buying things that wind up sitting in drawers and on your desk. It is very therapeutic to donate such items as you'll get a combination of the satisfaction that comes from helping others, giving and decluttering your space.
3. Get A Himalayan Salt Lamp
We've spoken about
Himalayan salt lamps in the past, but I'll say it again – get one.
Himalayan salt is some of the purest salt you can buy. Not only is it incredibly healthy for you to eat – in lamp form,
it cleanses and removes odors from the air in your home as well.
The lamps also give off negative ion particles, which rid your space of positive ions (
those are the ones you do not want).
Plus, they look gorgeous.
4. Sing Happy Songs
As a songwriter, I am obviously a big believer in the power of music. However, you do not have to be serious about music to reap these benefits. You do not even have to technically call it
singingif you don't want to – just open your mouth and make sounds that make you happy. Put on your favourite song and belt along like no one's listening.
Not only will it de-stress you; it'll introduce positive vibes into your space as well.
5. Meditate
Meditation works wonders for the human brain, as we've
covered in the past. It is also a great way to invite positive energy into your home. Try something like the
Transcendental Meditation if you are not sure where to start.
6. Use Essential Oils
Essential oils
are one of the best-kept secrets around. There are many different 'flavors' to choose from, with everything from Anise to Blue Hungarian
existing on the market.

essential oils to learn more about how to use them. Also, check out how to
diffuse essential oils.
For a quick tip, lemon and grapefruit flavors will be uplifting for your home while lavender will work wonders for relieving the nervous energy around your home.
7. Grow Plants
There are many plants you can grow in your home to
promote health. Common knowledge states that they assist with cleaning the air around your home, which is extraordinary energy-wise in itself, as extensive
NASA research has shown.
The space agency reports that Peace lily, golden pothos, and English ivy are some of the best plants for removing pollutants in your home's air.
8. Burn Incense
Incense has been used mystically as far back as
the ancient Egyptians. The strong-smelling substance can soothe your mind, and there are plenty of aromas to choose from. Only buy natural, as this will maximize the positive energy in your space. We will demonstrate how to make your own incense soon!
9. Keep Fresh Flowers
There's a reason they've been offered as romantic gifts for centuries. Flowers work well two-fold; they can add color to any room as well as great natural fragrance. They make for a very welcoming, positive environment.
10. Open Those Blinds
Sunlight is a beautiful thing. Don't block it out with those thick curtains or blinds – open up your window and let the fresh air and sun fill your space, bringing positive, natural energy with it.
