Down On The Farm: Gifts From NoniLand!

NoniLand Farm

When David ‘Avocado’ Wolfe began farming in Hawaii in 1997, he had a vision of developing an abundant tropical fruit orchard, harmonious bee sanctuary, and training center. Eventually, the vision transformed into the NoniLand Farm where a laboratory of Sun, lava rock, sand, wood, rain, spring water, etc., has given rise to numerous superfood products, chocolate discoveries, and innovative farming techniques and concepts.

From vanilla-draped cacao trees to acai and coconut palms, NoniLand Farm represents the abundance of jungle living.

But wait!

The goal of this jungle farm is not for the farmers but for you. Working with Nature to grow plants in ideal conditions brings forth an abundance of nutrient-dense foods and superfoods.

These become the NoniLand collection.

Planting for Jungle Living

The Earth gives great harvests on land well-loved. The harvests at NoniLand include superfoods rich in nutrients, antioxidants, enzymes, and more – all of which may contribute to your own well-being.

Not all the foods grown here make it into a package, though.

For example, bananas that ripen on the plant cannot travel thousands of miles to a market in New Jersey. Yet the best bananas ripen on the plant.

What can be minimally processed and packaged at NoniLand, the David Wolfe Team makes available to you. Nothing but the Best Ever.

NoniLand Farm Superfoods

NoniLand Honey

Bee Keepers live long lives, thanks to the nutrient-rich products of the hive. Here at NoniLand, the bees enjoy a natural life among the diverse pollens and nectars of jungle plants.

NoniLand Farm

These bees do not get moved from one location to another. In fact, there are hives in the house! They aren't used as a tool by the agricultural industry to pollinate crops.

They do pollinate the plants, but only for the purpose of creating beautiful healthy hives that multiply into the environment and that vibe up the NoniLand Farmhouse. And, of course, the bees are helping to improve the diverse fruit production of the NoniLand jungle.

We are excited to bring the Taste of Paradise to you through this rich and flavorful nectar.

Whether straight from the hive or married with NoniLand vanilla beans or cacao, this honey is sure to satisfy.

NoniRoot Tincture

NoniRoot has the dubious distinction of not being very tasty. Like shilajit, NoniRoot is an acquired taste. But it's one you definitely want to acquire!

NoniLand Farm

In fact, NoniLand Farm is named after the noni plant. Noni fruit and noni juice are both amazing superfoods, yet noni root has its own distinct benefits. (1, 2, 3)

Traditional Chinese Medicine hails the healing benefits of the Morinda Officinalis tree. Noni, on the other hand, is Morinda Citrifolia, the variety used extensively in Polynesian folk remedies. The root, in particular, is high in anthraquinones, which show significant anti-cancer and anti-viral properties. (4, 5)

Freeze-Dried Cacao Beans

A truly unique product! We've saved the Best for last: raw, freeze-dried cacao beans, still blanketed in the luscious white pulp of the cacao pod. That's what makes this product so special.

In almost any health food store and at the local grocers, you'll find cocoa powder and usually cocoa nibs. The nibs are simply crushed cacao beans.

Cacao beans provide many marketable products, especially cacao nibs and cocoa powder. When people aren't using these cocoa products, they are likely enjoying the fruits of the chocolate processing industry. Chocolate sales in its many forms dwarf many other food products. (6)

We see this trend at NoniLand, too.

From all the chocolate experimentation over the years, the freeze-dried cacao beans rose to the top of NoniLand’s most in-demand chocolate product.

If you want to experience the Mana that Hawaii concentrates into foods (amongst many other things), freeze-dried NoniLand cacao beans are a delicious and fascinating option.

Freeze-dried Cacao Beans Nutrient Profile
NoniLand Farm

Traditional cultures in the tropics that live and work around cacao trees use the fruit pulp in myriad ways, from chocolate, yes, but also juices and jams and butters. (7)

While it's still early in the exploration of cacao pulp for the food industry, David Wolfe is at the forefront of an up-and-coming delicacy. We do know that the tender pulp encasing each cacao bean is high in Vitamins E and D, as well as Magnesium and B-complex vitamins. (8)

Keeping the pulp and bean together makes for a healthy bitter-sweet bite!

A Note Of Caution:  Unfermented, raw cacao beans contain higher amounts of phytic acid. Plants utilize phytic acid to protect themselves. But phytic acid also binds to important minerals, like calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. Be sure to have a diet rich in these nutrients, and enjoy Freeze-Dried Cacao Beans as a snack or special treat. (9)

Beans, nuts, and seeds all contain phytate, which is why they undergo some kind of processing before eating – like soaking beans, sprouting nuts, and fermenting cacao. With Freeze-Dried NoniLand Cacao Beans, this isn't necessary. Just be sure to get your minerals throughout the day. (10)

Did you know? There's a lot of leftovers in the production of chocolate and cacao beans. Freeze-dried cacao beans share some of the bounty of the fruit of the cacao tree. Naturally!
