Today, I am going to share with you another natural health secret. This is a topic that many people have a knee-jerk reaction to. So, please hear me out! It's called the coffee enema.
Yes, you can significantly upgrade your health and speed your healing with the self-care practice of enemas, done in the comfort of your home.
I know what your thinking… most people have such an aversion to the idea of anything going ‘up there’ however, its much easier than you think and the resulting health benefits are undeniable!
An Age-Old Self-Care Ritual
People all over the world have used enemas since ancient times to aid healing. Ancient regions in Africa, Greece, Babylonia, India, and China have used enemas as a regular self-care practice. Louis XIV had almost 2000 enemas in his lifetime and stayed healthy throughout! In fact, until about 70 years ago, medical doctors frequently prescribed them as a part of a standard cure for illness, saving many lives. Doctors would often make home visits and prescribe an enema to bring down a fever or relieve migraines. However, in today’s society, medical professionals have little or no training in the value of enemas for helping the body quickly eliminate waste and feel better!Think of it as an Internal Bath.
Simply put, an enema cleans up the colon and induces bowel movements, leaving you feeling cleaner, lighter, and healthier almost immediately. Its a quick way to change your state if you are feeling off. The main job of the colon is to absorb water and nutrients from food and remove waste and toxins. Over the years, the colon walls can become encrusted with non-eliminated waste, making it sluggish and inefficient. How do you know you need to cleanse your colon?
Here are some symptoms that could disappear with regular coffee enemas:- Backache
- Bloating
- Constipation
- Candida yeast infections
- Fatigue
- Flatulence
- Indigestion
- Headaches
- Hemorrhoids
- Loss of concentration
- Sinus congestion
- Skin conditions
- Unpleasant breath
- Weight issues
There are two types of enemas:
1) Cleansing
Water enemas are considered cleansing because they are not meant to be held in the body for too long. Generally, you fill up the colon and wait for the natural peristaltic urge to release. It is meant to be more of a rinse for the colon rather than a medicinal implant. Examples of cleansing enemas: apple cider vinegar in water, salt water, burdock root tea and lemon juice and water.2) Retention
Retention enemas are held in the body for longer. The coffee enema, popularized by Max Gerson (Gerson Therapy), is considered a retention enema because when held, the caffeine stimulates the opening of the bile duct so toxins can be released from the liver. Suzy Cohen, also known as "America's Pharmacist," declares that coffee enemas are safe when performed by holistic physicians and even at home. Cohen goes on to say that coffee enemas can be used as a therapeutic treatment for a number of conditions, like constipation, fatigue, liver detoxification, and even cancer. Research has confirmed the effectiveness of administering therapeutic agents through the colon instead of the mouth. Examples of retention enemas: coffee, probiotics, chlorophyll, E3Live, wheatgrass, and minerals. What you need for an Enema at Home:
- Stainless Steel Bucket Enema Kit (I prefer the 2-quart stainless steel bucket over the plastic enema bag).
- Pure, room temperature water (chlorinated water can further disrupt flora).
- A little coconut oil for lubrication.
- Some towels to lay down on the bathroom floor.
- Optional: implant of choice. i.e., coffee, probiotic powder, etc.
- Ideally, you would want to be close to a toilet that is equipped with a Squatty Potty Toilet Stool to support an effortless and complete release.
