Eucommia is a tree bark of an ancient race of trees that almost entirely died out in past eons of the Earth. Similar to ginkgo, one remaining member of this race: Eucommia ulmoides continues to survive until the present day. This tree contains a latex-like material that makes it immune to nearly any dangerous predator. This same latex material is also a wonderful nutrient for humanity and mammals as a whole—because it strengthens connective tissue. This latex material is found in the black bark of the Eucommia tree and is alcohol soluble. Therefore, this elastic material is best delivered via an alcohol tincture.
“Whenever I coach a professional athlete, this is typically my #1 recommendation. Eucommia is absolutely critical for improving elasticity and flexibility in tissue under stress from the extreme confrontations encountered in most sports. Of the Eucommia products and tinctures on the market, this is the one that I know works and the product I personally use myself. 3-4 droppers full per day is the recommended dose.” ~ David ‘Avocado’ Wolfe

Eucommia bark (from Eucommia ulmoides) is primarily known as a powerful Yang Jing tonic for strengthening the skeletal and connective tissue systems, yet it is also a strong Yin Jing tonic herb as well. Because it provides both Yin and Yang, it is a superb tonic herb for men and women alike and can be used by almost anybody to support the functions of the endocrine system, to support the physical structure, to provide foundational Jing for the reproductive system, and to support the immune system. It may be combined with any number of other tonic herbs in a formulation or tonic herbal program designed to build the Yin and Yang of the Kidney. Most extracts of Eucommia in the world market today are made with Eucommia leaves to reduce cost. The bark, however, is much more potent and is favoured by connoisseurs of tonic herbs. Eucommia bark that has achieved appropriate maturity is extremely well balanced and chemically rich. Dragon Herbs uses only fully mature (10 years old or older) Eucommia bark in this important life-supporting, tonic product. The trees are sustainably harvested.
Eucommia was the second herb ever described in the ancient Chinese herbal text, by Shennong nearly 2,500 years ago.
Eucommia is also known to support the kidneys, endocrine system, as well as to help support healthy sexual functionality.*
Eucommia bark is considered the primary superherb in Daoist tonic herbalism for building a strong, sturdy, flexible skeletal structure and to support normal growth. It is used to strengthen the bones, ligaments and tendons.*
Eucommia is the most recommended herb in human history for pregnancy with its thousands of years of use in China.
Eucommia is one of the few herbs in Daoist tonic herbalism that is sufficiently powerful, balanced and broad spectrum that it may be used alone. However, it may be combined with any number of other tonic herbs in a formulation or tonic herbal program designed to support the Yin and Yang of the Kidney.*
Eucommia is the quintessential example of a safe, mild and potent Kidney tonic that builds Jing.*
