Q: Should we take Detoxadine at a different time than Coated Silver? Do they interact?

A: We have not evidence that Detoxadine interacts with Coated Silver, but because of normal iodine products being known to interact with colloidal silver products (for salts), we recommend taking Detoxadine at a separate time than Coated Silver just to be safe.

Q: How is nascent iodine different?

A: Nascent iodine is the atomic form of the element. It can be rapidly absorbed into your bloodstream and dispersed throughout your body more efficiently. Other types of iodine are attached to other elements, which can lower absorption rates by 20%.

Q: How many servings are in a bottle?

A: Each concentrated drop contains 650 micrograms of iodine, and one daily serving is only three small drops. Every bottle offers 200 servings, which lasts over six months with suggested use.

Q: What is the best timing for taking Detoxadine? With or without food? Best time of the day?

A: Detoxadine may be taken with or without food, but we typically suggest taking it 20-30 minutes before a meal to maximize absorption. Since iodine may increase energy, it is best to take in the morning or early afternoon (not at night!).

Q: I understand it varies with each person, but how long does it take to see weight loss results, while eating healthier, doing weight training and cardio 4 times a week. Does this product help facilitate weight loss?

A: Iodine is necessary to support the thyroid and encourage normal hormone balance, so taking iodine may eventually facilitate weight loss if your weight gain is due to a hormonal imbalance. However, since weight gain can be attributed to a variety of factors, we cannot say that Detoxadine is a weight loss supplement. That being stated, please give Detoxadine at least 30 days or more to saturate your cells, balance your system, and detoxify harmful halogens (fluorine, chlorine, bromine, radioactive iodine) that compete with iodine for the same thyroid receptors. Of course, in some cases, it may take much longer than 30 days depending on the individual.

Q: Is there potassium in Detoxadine?

A: No. We only offer one form of Detoxadine, which contains nascent iodine; this is the atomic form of the element. Other types of iodine are attached to other elements (such as potassium), which can lower absorption rates by 20%.

Q: Do healthy people still need to take iodine daily?

A: Detoxadine is still be helpful for healthy individuals to maintain iodine levels and fill in any dietary nutritional gaps. Overall, we find it safe and effective to take three drops of Detoxadine daily. Nevertheless, this amount is still flexible to your needs, so you can also take less or more than the three drops, if you prefer, or as recommended by your healthcare provider.

Q: Can I use this if I have hyperthyroidism.

A: Iodine supplementation can generally be safe to take in these situations. Overall, we recommend taking three drops of Detoxadine daily; however, please check in with a trusted healthcare provider to see if you need to make any adjustments to the serving size.

Q: Is it safe to supplement with iodine if you have Hashimoto’s? My diet isn’t rich in iodine and I’d like to supplement with iodine but I’m afraid it might trigger a flare-up.

A: Generally, we do not recommend taking Detoxadine when you have Hashimoto's or Graves' disease. In these situations, it's best to forgo iodine supplementation and/or to speak with your healthcare provider before use.

Q: If I take thyroid medications daily, can I replace those medications with Detoxadine?

A: Detoxadine contains concentrated nutrition for support your thyroid health and immune system; however, it is not able to replace your medication or any conventional treatment from your physician. Generally, people will take Detoxadine at least 2-3 hours away from medication to ensure maximum absorption. If you wish to safely decrease your medication or remove it entirely, please be sure to work with your healthcare provider.
