What is Chaga Tincture?

This organic and wildcrafted tincture is a dual extraction containing both the water-soluble fraction, as well as the alcohol-soluble fraction of wild North American Chaga mushroom. This means this tincture contains the broadest spectrum of healing nutrients available in a single Chaga product.

Our Chaga Mushrooms have been aged in organic sugarcane alcohol in glass containers for at least 4 months for superior flavour and medicinal qualities.

King of the Medicinal Mushrooms

Chaga is a remarkable medicinal mushroom that grows in and on living trees. It resembles a large piece of burnt charcoal and was historically used to control fire, hence it is sometimes referred to as the "tinder mushroom" or “tinder conk”. It grows most abundantly in nearly all species of birch found in the circumpolar temperate forests of Earth's northern hemisphere. In Siberian folklore, chaga is considered the "King of the Medicinal Mushrooms" and has a long history of use in Chinese medicine, in North American Native American herbalism and Northern European folk herbal systems.

Benefits of Chaga (Inonotus obliquus)

This wild mushroom provides special compounds and metabolites that function to support longevity, immunity, beauty and radiant health—and these qualities and nutrients are far more prevalent in the wild specimens.

Wildcrafted Chaga Mushroom Nourishes the following Qualities

Immune System
Jing (Primordial Lifeforce)
Shen (Aura)
Endurance
Longevity

1. Longevity

Chaga is unique among medicinal mushrooms and may be one of the most important longevity substances yet discovered. It has an extremely high ORAC value (antioxidant property) which keep our cells strong and healthy. One of chaga's antioxidant super-compounds, superoxide dismutase (SOD), helps our body stop the damaging effects of free radicals which cause more rapid aging. In fact, chaga contains up to 50x more superoxide dismutase than seaweeds, fruits and vegetables—making it one of the most powerful anti-aging substances we can consume.

2. Immune System Support

Chaga contains one of the highest amounts of tumor-fighting compounds of any of the medicinal mushrooms known, especially in the form of betulinic acid, which is a powerful compound naturally present in the white part of the birch bark. Studies have shown chaga to have natural anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties all while being protective of the liver. The Betulin within chaga is heart protective and works against toxic cholesterol in our body (LDL). It contains non-linear, complex polysaccharides that boost the immune system and supercharge health.

3. Beauty

Chaga was used historically in Eastern Europe to treat skin conditions, like eczema. Chaga is high in vital phytochemicals, nutrients and free-radical scavenging antioxidants, especially melanin. Chaga’s melanin is the same compound which is the main pigment in human skin and hair, the retina of the eye and the pigment-bearing neurons within the brain stem. When taken regularly creates a healthy glow to the skin. Chaga also helps to shield our skin from UV damage.
